A Pattern is the core of the product development process. A Pattern is the blueprint or template used to cut out the fabric which makes the sample. A good pattern has considered Design, Balance, Proportion and Fit that interprets the vision of the designer perfectly. We use computer pattern making software to create our patterns to save you money and allow for consistency in fit and design for your label.
Our development team will work with you to create the perfect fit. With extensive experience in all facets of the fashion industry, you can feel confident that your patterns are created accurately and professionally to save you time and money.
We provide you with creative pattern solutions to express your designs with expertise and ensure accurate samples and problem free manufacturing. Accuracy in design, patterns, grading and specifications is essential for smooth onshore and offshore manufacturing. Marker making, plotting and CAD digital patterns for offshore factories are also available for complete manufacturing information.
NOTE- We do not make patterns or samples for underwire bra styles or men’s traditional tailoring
Pattern Room
Pattern Room (www.patternroom.com) was launched in June this year with an ambitious goal to make a significant difference to the environmental and ethical impact of the development and production of clothing, not just fashion.
Pattern Room is an on-line catalogue of commercially-ready clothing patterns that provide the opportunity to both reduce the development time and cost of clothing and also to help enhance the fit of the clothing, poor fit being a significant contributor to clothing waste.
Ms Van Der Sommen said the new website was a seven-year project that will change the way designers and manufacturers approach development by:
– Giving access to tens of thousands of pre-tested, ready-fitted commercial patterns
– Reducing waste and cost by streamlining development of many clothing items
– Improve fit across the range which will improve sales and reduce ‘end of season’ waste
With more than 200,000 patterns currently available, Pattern Room is developing new styles all the time adding approximately 2-3000 designs per month to the library.
